Rebate Application Forms

See guidance at the end of the application form for assistance completing your application form

Rebate Application Checklist:

  • Original signed completed application form.
  • Completed W9 form.
  • Photo of truck with APU/Idle Reduction Devices installed.
    The USDOT number, APU and
    unique truck identifying # (on
    fleets) should be visible (more
    than 1 photo is fine.)
  • Copy of itemized Invoice for APU/Idle Reduction Devices, showing itemized cost of the
    installation (you may install
    yourself) and date it was
    installed.
  • Proof the APU/Idle reduction device was paid in full or
    financed;
  • Copy of the truck registration
    card or cab card.
  • Proof of Residency is needed
    if your truck is registered in
    another state.
  • Picture of Engine Plate is
    needed if the model year of the
    chassis does not match that of
    the engine.

What is Eligible for Rebates?
 
The purchase and installation of an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) or other Idle Reduction Device on a sleeper berth truck owned by a North Carolina based company or individual is eligible for a rebate of up to $2,500. Rebates will be available for APU/Idle Reduction Devices purchased after January 1, 2009. Companies are allowed up to six APU/Idle Reduction Devices Rebates. Priority is given to companies or individuals who haven't received a rebate through previous calls. Companies that have received rebates in the past may submit an application for an additional 6 devices. However, these applications will be held until the end of the rebate period to ensure that priority is given to new applicants.

How Long are These Rebates Available?
 
Rebates will be available on a first-come first served basis as long as funds remain but no later than December 31, 2013.
